Meet Womby — the trowel that does the hard yakka without weighing you down. Its pointed tip and angled edge cut into soil easily, while the one-piece moulded build means there's no timber handle to rot, no metal to rust, and no dodgy join to work loose halfway through a job.

Womby's design takes after the wombat — a native digger that punches well above its weight. The Womby Hand Trowel is designed to make everyday gardening easier without the weight and maintenance of traditional garden tools.

Womby is a multi-purpose outdoor tool- perfect for camping, at the beach, even prospecting — it's a proper all-rounder for outdoor life.

Why gardeners love Womby:
- 100% recycled plastic bottle caps given a second life
- Light and comfy to use
- Strong one-piece design — no weak points
- Rust- and weather-resistant
- Easy to clean and wash
- Great for digging, planting and potting
- Multi-purpose: garden, camping, beach

How to use:

  • Digging and planting: push the pointed tip into the soil at an angle, lever back and lift.
  • Potting: scoop potting mix straight from the bag into your pots.
  • Transplanting: dig around a seedling and lift it out with the soil still around its roots.
  • After use: knock off the soil and rinse it under the tap.

What is the Womby Hand Trowel made from?
Womby is made in Australia from 100% recycled plastic bottle caps — roughly 75 caps per tool.

How long is the Womby Hand Trowel?

The Womby hand trowel is 30cm long.

What can I use the Womby Trowel for?
Digging, planting, potting, moving soil, transplanting seedlings and general garden maintenance — plus camping, beach and outdoor use.

Is the Womby Hand Trowel durable?
Yes. The one-piece moulded construction makes it lightweight yet strong enough for everyday gardening, with no weak joins to fail.

Will the trowel rust or rot?

No. Unlike timber or metal trowels, Womby is rust-resistant, weather-resistant and easy to clean.

Is the Womby Hand Trowel Australian made?
Yes. Every Gardening on Country tool is made on Gunaikurnai Country in East Gippsland, Victoria.

Is this tool only for gardening?
Not at all. Customers also use Womby for camping, the beach, prospecting and everyday outdoor tasks.

Will every trowel look exactly the same?
Nope — and that's the charm. Because it's recycled, every Womby has its own one-off colour pattern.

How do I clean and care for it?
Knock off any soil and rinse it with water. There's no oiling or sharpening needed. Store it out of direct sun when you're not using it to keep the colour bright.

A solid piece, while being light. Super happy to have invested in it and great colour when "lost" momentarily.

Very impressed with this trowel. It is so strong and sturdy and very comfortable to use. No joints so no blisters after long use. It also combines my 2 favourite things - recycling and gardening. I absolutely love these tools and will recommend to all my gardening friends and family.
